Taplio is a LinkedIn growth suite: AI post writing, scheduling, analytics, engagement tools and lead outreach in one app. People who go looking for alternatives tend to hit the same walls, and all of them are visible on Taplio’s own pricing page on 8 October 2026:
- AI writing isn’t on the cheapest plan. Starter is $39/month ($32 billed annually) and covers scheduling and core analytics. The AI post generator, draft improver and carousel generator are marked as not included. Growth ($69, or $49 annual) adds 250 AI credits a month. Unlimited AI is a Pro feature ($199, or $149 annual).
- Credits cap commenting too. Growth gives 500 comment credits a month. Unlimited comment credits come with Pro.
- Outreach tools are Pro-only. Auto-DMs, bulk DMs, auto connection requests and the lead database sit in the $199 tier.
- The pitch is audience growth. Plan copy reads “Write viral posts with AI” on Growth and “Convert attention into leads” on Pro. That fits a creator. It fits less well an executive who needs one consistent voice and a review step.
If one of those is why you’re looking, here’s what fits better. For free one-off drafting tools, see our guide to LinkedIn post generators.
The alternatives
1. Parlance: if the account belongs to an executive
Parlance is built for the people who sign off on what gets said: public-company CEOs and the IR and comms teams around them. It’s voice-trained on your writing, strategy documents and published content, and it starts from a guided conversation about the reasoning behind your decisions. One brief then becomes a LinkedIn post, blog post, X thread, email and press release.
The contrast with Taplio is the job. Taplio grows an audience. Parlance’s house rules are Reg FD-aware and aim to catch stock-promotion phrasing and in-progress deal details before a draft reaches you, and it remembers what you’ve rejected. Self-service is $499/month (one voice, one seat). Managed is $1,999/month, with a dedicated content lead, a weekly strategic review and team access. Billed monthly. It’s invite-only, and it isn’t a scheduler or growth suite, so it won’t replace Taplio’s engagement and lead tools.

Disclaimer: we own Parlance (which is how we know it’s good).
2. Supergrow: the closest like-for-like
Supergrow covers much of Taplio’s ground: AI writing, scheduling, Kanban drafts, auto first-comment, a carousel maker, an Engage tool, analytics and weekly reports. Its angle is voice and expertise. “Content DNA” stores your tone, opinions and vocabulary, and “Postcast” is an AI interview that Supergrow says turns a 10 to 15 minute conversation into three to five draft posts. It can also repurpose YouTube videos, articles and PDFs.
Pro is $39/month ($31 annual) for one account. Teams is $199/month ($189 annual) for five accounts, adding per-person Content DNA and feedback and approval workflows. Supergrow says it posts through LinkedIn’s official API. Limit: the interview and team features are the point, so if you only want cheap scheduling, it’s more than you need.
3. ContentIn: a ghostwriter trained on your posts
ContentIn builds a model of your voice from your existing LinkedIn posts (its FAQ says at least 20), then plans your week: each Sunday it drafts two posts from your own material, or three on Pro. Growth is $39/month ($31 annual) for one personal profile. It includes unlimited ghostwriter drafts, scheduling, scheduled first comments, four AI carousels and 20 AI images a month, and analytics.
Pro is $59 ($48 annual) and adds company pages, custom AI instructions, repurposing and leads analytics. Both plans start with a 7-day trial. Limit: Growth covers one personal profile, and multi-profile and agency use is custom-priced.
4. MagicPost: the widest plan ladder
MagicPost’s Growth plan ($49/month, or $29 billed yearly) covers manual writing, scheduling, advanced metrics, engagement and replies, and lead detection. Unlimited AI post generation, AI visuals, carousels and an idea generator start at Creator ($69, or $39 yearly). Agency is priced per client seat ($59/month, or $47 yearly) and shown as five seats for $295/month, with client approvals and white-label reports. Team plans start at $129/month for two seats on monthly billing.
There’s a free trial with no card, and MagicPost publishes 18 free tools that need no account. It says it connects through LinkedIn’s official API. Limit: as with Taplio, AI writing sits on the second rung.
5. Postiv: a weekly plan, built in
Postiv pairs LinkedIn and X scheduling with a planning agent, “Bob”, that builds a weekly content plan from your pillars and last week’s results. Creator Pro includes AI writing in your voice, carousels, infographics, images, analytics and MCP access, so your own Claude or ChatGPT can draft and schedule through it. It’s $99/month, or $49.50/month billed as $594 a year, for one LinkedIn seat.
Team is $229/month ($159/month annual) for unlimited members and profiles, with approvals. There’s a 7-day trial. Postiv says it uses LinkedIn’s official API rather than a browser extension. Limit: the monthly price matches Kleo’s, so the annual rate is where it’s competitive.
6. Kleo: a writing system with coaching
Kleo is LinkedIn-only and sold as a system: unlimited post generation, a swipe file, templates, a knowledge base, a writing style with memory, 20 one-click graphics a month and scheduling. It bundles weekly live group coaching and a creator community. It’s $99/month, or $999/year (the page shows $1,188 as the usual annual price).
Kleo says it doesn’t offer a free trial. Multi-profile support isn’t available yet, so it suits one creator rather than an agency or an executive team.
7. AuthoredUp: an editor and analytics layer
AuthoredUp is less an AI writer than a better place to write. It adds text styling, a preview of the “See more” fold, drafts, snippets, a library of 300+ hooks and post endings, a calendar and content analytics, through a Chrome extension and a web platform. Its Coauthor AI assistant, which learns your voice from your posts, is in closed beta, with credits included on every plan.
Individual is $19.95/month ($16.63 annual) for one profile. Business is $14.95 per profile per month ($12.46 annual), with a three-profile minimum. Free trial, no card. Limit: don’t expect Taplio-style generation while Coauthor is in beta.
8. Typefully: X-first, with LinkedIn publishing
Typefully is an editor and scheduler that publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Substack from one place. Free allows 10 posts a month, one social set and one user. Creator is $99 a year (annual billing only) and adds AI writing features and X analytics. Business is $20 per social set per month ($18 billed yearly) with shared drafts, comments and roles.
Its LinkedIn-specific features on the pricing page are first comments and PDF carousels. If LinkedIn is your main channel, a LinkedIn-first tool fits better.
9. Buffer: the budget scheduler
Buffer’s free plan covers three channels with 10 scheduled posts per channel and includes an AI Assistant for creating, refining and repurposing posts. Essentials is $6 per channel per month ($5 billed yearly) with unlimited scheduling, advanced analytics and first-comment scheduling. Team is $12 per channel ($10 yearly), adding unlimited members and approvals.
Limit: the AI assistant is general-purpose. The pricing page doesn’t list voice training.

How to choose
- Start with who’s posting. For a personal brand, ContentIn, Supergrow Pro or Kleo are built around one voice. For an executive or a company where someone reviews every post, look at Parlance or Supergrow Teams, which has approval workflows. Neither replaces legal or compliance review. See also our guide to AI ghostwriters.
- Find where the AI starts. On Taplio it’s the $69 plan. At MagicPost it’s Creator. At AuthoredUp it’s a beta. If you write most posts yourself, AuthoredUp or Buffer cost far less.
- Check how a tool connects to LinkedIn. Supergrow, ContentIn, MagicPost and Postiv each say they publish through LinkedIn’s official API. AuthoredUp runs as a Chrome extension and says “No automation”. Taplio’s FAQ says its tool behaves like a real LinkedIn user. LinkedIn’s help page on prohibited software says it doesn’t permit third-party software that automates activity on LinkedIn, and that accounts using such tools risk being restricted. Read each vendor’s explanation before connecting an account you can’t afford to lose, especially before turning on auto-DMs or auto connection requests.
- Count the profiles. MagicPost Agency is shown at five client seats, AuthoredUp Business starts at three profiles and Supergrow Teams includes five accounts. Kleo has one profile for now.
- Compare annual and monthly prices. Postiv drops from $99 to $49.50 on annual billing. Kleo’s $999 is a yearly bundle. Typefully’s Creator plan is annual only.
