How we put this together: We read Peec AI's official pricing page and each alternative's official pricing and feature pages on 8 October 2026, using a full browser where prices only load with scripts, and compared prompt limits, engines at entry, refresh rate, billing and trials. We haven't run paid subscriptions of these tools for this article. Prices are in USD as shown on that date.

Peec AI is one of the most-recommended AI visibility trackers, and its pricing page shows why people start comparing. On 8 October 2026 it listed three self-serve plans:

  • Starter: $95/month ($80 billed annually). 50 prompts, one project.
  • Pro: $245/month ($205 annual). 150 prompts, two projects.
  • Advanced: $495/month ($420 annual). 350 prompts, five projects and Looker Studio.

The structural reasons people leave come from that page:

  • Price per prompt. Starter works out to about $1.90 per prompt per month ($95 for 50).
  • Three models per plan. Every self-serve plan tracks three models you choose. Extra ones are add-ons, from $30/month on Starter billed annually. Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and others are Enterprise-only.
  • Gated extras. API access is Enterprise-only, and Looker Studio starts at Advanced.
  • No free plan. There’s a free trial, then paid.

What you’d give up by switching: Peec includes unlimited users and daily tracking on every self-serve plan. Check each alternative’s seats and refresh rate. For the wider market, see our guide to the best AI visibility tools and our explainer on Peec AI pricing.

The alternatives

1. SEOButler AI Visibility Check: free first look before you pay

If you’re deciding whether any tracker is worth $95 a month, start here. Enter a brand name, website and, optionally, a topic. SEOButler searches a large index of recorded ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews answers (US, English). It shows where your brand is named, which answers cite your website, and which other brands and sources appear for the topic. You can open the answers behind each number.

No email is needed. Verifying one gives a shareable, unbranded report and three brand checks a month.

It isn’t a live tracker, so it won’t replace daily tracking. It searches previously recorded answers, and a zero means no matching records, not that AI never mentions you.

Disclaimer: we own SEOButler (which is how we know it’s good).

2. Pace Generative: someone else does the work

Pace Generative isn’t a cheaper Peec. It’s a different kind of purchase: a done-for-you generative engine optimization (GEO) service. It tracks visibility across the major AI engines, then does the work meant to change it: content written to be cited in AI answers, plus schema markup. Reporting covers citations, share of voice and competitor comparisons.

It’s sold as monthly packages, with pricing on request. It suits teams that already have dashboard data and no time to act on it. It isn’t a self-serve tool.

3. Otterly.AI: the nearest swap at a lower entry price

Lite is $29/month ($25 billed annually) for 15 prompts tracked daily across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot, with unlimited team members. Standard is $189/month ($160 annual) for 100 prompts, with API and MCP access.

The catch is Peec’s catch in a different place: Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude are paid add-ons on every plan (from $9, $9 and $29/month on Lite), and 15 prompts go quickly.

4. LLMrefs: the most prompts per dollar

LLMrefs sells one plan: $79/month, which the page labels a limited-time price. It includes 500 prompts across the AI engines it supports with no extra engine fees, citation tracking, unlimited team members and projects, CSV export and API access. A 7-day free trial is offered.

The trade-off is cadence. The page describes weekly visibility reports, where Peec tracks daily. The limited-time label also means the price may change.

5. SE Visible (SE Ranking): 200 prompts for about Peec’s price

SE Ranking’s standalone tracker starts at $99/month (20% less billed annually, about $79) for 200 prompts and three projects across ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Core is $189/month for 450 prompts; Plus is $355/month for 1,000. There’s a 10-day free trial. Copilot isn’t on the engine list.

6. Rankscale: wide coverage on credits

Rankscale charges in credits instead of fixed prompt counts. Pro is $99/month for 1,200 credits (up to 4,800 answers), 10 brand dashboards, unlimited search terms and a Looker Studio connector. Yearly billing saves 15%, and a yearly-only Essentials plan starts at $17/month. Its engine list includes ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Mistral, Grok and Copilot, and checks can run from hourly to monthly. Pro has a 7-day trial.

The limit is budgeting: more engines and more frequent checks use credits faster. Use its credit calculator first.

7. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: for existing Semrush teams

$99/month per domain, the same on monthly and annual billing on 8 October. It tracks 25 custom prompts daily, with mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, competitor analysis, prompt research and an AI-readiness site audit. It makes sense if your team already works in Semrush. It isn’t cheaper than Peec per prompt, and the price applies per domain.

8. Ahrefs Brand Radar: benchmark the market first

Ahrefs offers two routes. Custom prompts, for tracking your own questions daily, start at $50/month, and paid Ahrefs plans from Lite include a few. The AI Visibility Index starts at $199/month ($699 for all models). Ahrefs says it covers 462 million prompts, so you can see your category without writing a prompt list. Platforms include AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot and Gemini; Claude is available for custom prompts.

9. Scrunch: for how AI agents read your site

Core is $250/month for 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month across four LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Copilot), with five user licenses and a 7-day trial. It costs more than Peec Starter, so it isn’t a savings move. Its angle is AI agent traffic and how agents read your site. Looker Studio, API access and nine-LLM coverage are Enterprise-only.

One caution: an automated fetch of Scrunch’s pricing page showed different plans (Starter $300 monthly, Growth $500) from the browser view. The prices here use the browser view. Check before buying.

10. AthenaHQ: model coverage and a credit budget

Starter is $295/month ($245 billed annually) and covers 11 models, including Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral, with 3,600 credits a month and content-optimization tools. A free Essential tier includes $25 of credit across five engines. Credits are the limit: checking many prompts daily across many models uses them quickly, and API access and extra credits cost extra.

11. Profound: depth, through sales

Profound sells to enterprise brands. Its pricing page shows a free trial (50 prompts run daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews) and an Enterprise tier with custom pricing, up to nine answer engines, prompt volume data, agent analytics, API and SSO. There’s no self-serve paid plan, so it won’t solve a price problem. It suits teams whose problem is depth.

How to choose

  1. Work out price per prompt, then check refresh rate. LLMrefs is cheapest per prompt but weekly. SE Visible and Peec check daily. A cheap plan that refreshes monthly isn’t comparable.
  2. List the engines you need. Peec’s three-model cap, Otterly’s add-ons and Scrunch’s four-LLM Core plan all push you toward extra spend if you need more.
  3. Check what’s locked. API access, Looker Studio and white-label reporting sit on higher tiers almost everywhere.
  4. Look before you pay. Run the free SEOButler check or a vendor trial first. If you barely appear anywhere, the first problem isn’t measurement.
  5. Decide who acts on the data. A tracker shows where you stand. If nobody has time to fix it, Pace Generative covers that part.
